my name is James E. Stewart, I was at 2875th Geeia Sq. from Jan 01, 1967 until Nov. 29, 1969. I was in inside wire telephone spent three
great years there mostly TDY. I worked with Sgt. Schisler, Sgt Joe Sheets, Sgt. Munson, Sgt Bristow to name a few team chiefs in our dept.
I went out on teams with Mike Haraughty, John Mack, Gomer Sanchez, Pete Kobe, Donald Lequire, Larry Mehringer, Danny Elkins, George cassie,
Butch Chapin, James Boatright, Daniel Schmitz and many others during that time. I went TDY to Taiwan, Korea, Okinawa, Phillipines, Vietnam
and Thailand. I stayed friends with Joe Sheets until his recent death last October, which was caused by agent orange.

Welcome on Jim. We have talked off here so I will just say welcome. As you say we worked on a few TDYs and I also worked with many of the same folks.

:D I'm also a new member worked in the TPS-40 section 66 - 68 not sure of the months, really not sure of very much while at Tachi. Lived at Yamato AS our barricks backed up to a factory where they must have been testing an engine or something the whole two years all we heard was .. !!WHEEEERRRR!!! the last couple of days before I shipped back to the states they must have finished there testing and they shut down, it got real quite and for the remainder of time at Yamato I couldn't sleep because of the quite. I noticed Jim Tucker and Ray Buda on the members list I'll send them an email. It was great finding this site and the photos wow!! have a few I'll try to get on the sites page.

I have to wonder if you are the same James Stewart who was my roommate at Keesler in '62. That James Stewart played a trumpet or coronet, if I remember correctly...
